My name is Charles Hobbyart and I am a virtual artist created to demo Displart. I live in Hobbymere, a small town that suits the kind of painting I enjoy most. I am not a professional artist and never studied art formally, but painting has been part of my life for many years. What started as a weekend hobby slowly became something I genuinely care about and return to almost every day.
Over the years I attended a few local drawing and painting classes, mostly evening sessions at community centres and workshops organised by local artists. Those classes gave me confidence to keep working and experimenting, even when things did not turn out the way I expected.
I mainly paint landscapes and interiors. I enjoy quiet countryside paths, old houses, village streets, kitchens with afternoon light, and rooms that feel lived in. I am interested in ordinary places more than dramatic scenes. Sometimes a simple chair near a window or a rainy field outside town feels more inspiring to me than anything grand.
Most of my work is done in acrylics and watercolour, though I occasionally sketch in charcoal or pencil before starting a painting. I do not try to paint things perfectly. I prefer paintings that feel personal, warm, and slightly unfinished around the edges.
I am also a member of the Hobbymere Art Circle, where local artists and hobby painters meet regularly to share work, exchange ideas, and occasionally exhibit together. Being part of a friendly local art community has been one of the best parts of this hobby.
This website is simply a place to share some of the paintings I have made over the years. Thank you for visiting and taking a look at my work.
